  • VOTE CHRIS FOR COUNCIL

    Vote Chris Bowen
    Rosalia Council Position #3

5 goals that I will achieve…that won’t cost you anything!

    1) PROACTIVE STYLE OF GOVERNING
This style works in advance concerning the town’s needs by simply getting back the taxes that we have already paid, as well as
finding grants to help with improving the town’s current and future long-term
    maintenance cost.

I will persistently hound the County, State and Federal level electeds to give back our tax dollars and maybe eventually a
    little more.

Applying for and receiving grants for future town improvements/maintenance is something just about every city and town
    pursues, it’s our time!

    2) IMPROVED PERSONAL ECONOMY

    A) If you would like a better Job, the Interns and I will assist you
in resume building, searching for your preferred/dream job and
ensuring you have every tactical advantage in your pursuit.

    B) If you would like to go back to school, the Interns and I will
assist in filling out all forms for registration, scheduling and Financial Aid. Be it online or in person classes, we will make sure to
find the best school that will work for your current situation.

Anywhere from a 3 month certificate to a 4+ year degree will be at
    your fingertips!

**No high school diploma/GED, no problem. There are programs at local
colleges that will allow individuals to earn a certificate to a degree
without having/getting a high school diploma/GED and we will walk you
    through every step.

    C) If you would like to start a business, the Interns and I will assist you in filling out all local and state applications, loan
applications (if needed), writing a business plan, finding start up
grants that are applicable to your business and many other areas.

    D) Let’s say you are comfortable with your current position, well
that’s great to hear! However that probably means you have loved ones
asking you for money 🙂 We will help those individuals with the above
options as well, even if they live outside of Rosalia. If it will keep more money in your pocket, which will improve your quality of
life…well that’s just part of serving you from an elected position.

    3) NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCILS

Neighborhood Councils meet to maintain and improve the quality of life
in Rosalia, these councils will increase resident participation in
local decision-making and form an effective partnership between the
    town and neighborhood residents.

    The Neighborhood Council is a
volunteer board made up of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Members and other positions, depending on the neighborhood’s needs.
Neighborhoods hold regular meetings (monthly, bi-monthly, or
quarterly) that are open to any person 18 years of age or older who resides, runs a business, or owns property within the boundaries of a neighborhood.

This may seem like a new concept, however after a couple of years, you will wonder how you ever lived without this type of direct representation and control of your Neighborhood!

    4) Council Member Internship Program

The elected field is one of the toughest fields to get your foot in
the door, however it’s one of the most important. I will start a
Council Member Internship program that will give the “Legislative
Interns” first hand experience on how to improve the citizen’s quality
of life from the elected position.

    They will assist in starting
programs, helping the citizens with improving their personal economic
situation, learn how to apply/receive grants for town needs and many
other areas. Not only will the Interns play a vital role in the improvement of Rosalia, the experience looks amazing on a resume.

If you would like early consideration to become a Legislative Intern,
please contact me (Contact information below).

    5) START A RESERVE FOR THE TOWN OF ROSALIA, THAT WE USE CORRECTLY

A “Reserve” is a government word for a savings account for Rosalia.
Starting a reserve is the first step in preparation for emergencies,
we will start with a low amount and slowly grow the account over time.

The reserve will be funded by grants and money that was saved from
receiving funds from the County, State and Federal level.

Example: Lets say a Rosalia Neighborhood Council (NC) would like
better roads at a cost of $100K, then the NC chooses to apply for and
receives the Washington State Community Development Block Grant
(Rosalia has received this grant before). Now rather than the town
spending the full $100k on needed road repair, we can put a few of
those dollars in the reserve for future emergencies.

MY POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: At age 16, I was appointed to the Federal level Speaker of The House’s campaign. At EWU, I majored
in Government and got a minor in History. While at EWU, I initiated,
created and became Spokane City Council’s first Legislative Intern. I
went on to be elected twice at the state level (Precinct Committee
Officer and Vice Chair of a District). Now I look forward to serving
    you on the Rosalia Council!

I am not accepting financial contributions for this campaign however
if you would like to get some political experience and join my campaign, please contact me (Contact information below).

I ASK FOR YOUR VOTE SO WE CAN IMPROVE ROSALIA TOGETHER!
